Welcome to Collingwood!

As part of our onboarding process, we offer you the option to set up your personal device to securely access Collingwood email, calendar, and other internal tools using Microsoft Intune. This helps ensure secure access while keeping your personal data private.

 What’s installed on your device (if you proceed):

  • Microsoft Authenticator – for secure sign-ins

  • Company Portal – to manage work-related apps

  • Optional tools like Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Dayforce, and more

Collingwood never accesses your personal apps, photos, or data.
A secure "Work Profile" (on Android) or a separate management profile (on iOS/macOS/Windows) is created to isolate school resources.

Participation is optional. If you prefer not to register your device, that’s completely okay — we can assist you in using web access or school-issued devices instead.



✅ BYOD Setup Instructions (Follow Based on Device Type)



 Android Devices

  1. Ensure the device has 3GB free space

  2. Connect to Collingwood Wi-Fi

  3. Go to Google Play Store > Install Company Portal

  4. Open app → Sign in with: firstname.lastname@collingwood.org

  5. Tap BEGIN > Review privacy screen → Tap CONTINUE

  6. Accept Google & Samsung (Knox) terms if prompted

  7. Wait for Work Profile to set up → Tap NEXT > CONTINUE

  8. Tap DONE and then GOT IT

  9. Once setup is done, forget the Collingwood Wi-Fi

  10. ✅ Done! Work apps will appear in the "Work" tab on your phone

 To remove later: Company Portal > Devices > Tap ... > Remove Device




iOS Devices (iPhone/iPad)

  1. Connect to Collingwood Wi-Fi

  2. Open Safari and go to:
     
    https://portal.manage.microsoft.com/conditionalaccess/enrollment

  3. Sign in with: firstname.lastname@collingwood.org

  4. Tap Get Started > Download profile > Tap Allow

  5. Open Settings > Profile Downloaded > Install > Trust the profile

  6. Wait for Microsoft Authenticator to install

  7. On a computer:
     Go to 
    https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info > Sign in
     Click 
    + Add method > Select Authenticator App > Click Next

  8. Scan the QR code using Microsoft Authenticator app on phone.

  9. Complete verification on the computer

  10. Download & Sign into Company Portal on iPhone → device gets enrolled

  11. Forget the Collingwood Wi-Fi after everything is complete

 To remove later: Company Portal > Devices > Tap device > ... > Remove






Windows Laptops (BYOD)

  1. Connect to Collingwood Wi-Fi

  2. Open a browser and go to:
     
    https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2141417

  3. Download and install Company Portal

  4. Launch Company Portal > Sign in with firstname.lastname@collingwood.org

  5. Click “This device hasn’t been set up…” → Click Next

  6. Click Connect and proceed with setup > Tap Done

  7. The device is now managed by Intune

  8. Forget the Collingwood Wi-Fi after enrollment.

To remove later: Company Portal > Devices > Select device > Remove
 Then go to Settings > Accounts > Work account > Disconnect
 Uninstall Company Portal



 macOS (MacBook)

  1. Connect to Collingwood Wi-Fi

  2. Open Safari and go to:
     
    https://portal.manage.microsoft.com

  3. Sign in with firstname.lastname@collingwood.org

  4. Click Tap here to add device > Download CompanyPortal-Installer.pkg

  5. Open downloaded file > Click Continue > Agree > Install

  6. After installation, launch Company Portal > Sign in.

  7. Click Begin > Continue > Download Management Profile.

  8. Open System Settings > Profiles > Install Management Profile

  9. Enter Mac password when prompted > Wait for Done

  10. Device is now enrolled and linked to Entra ID

  11. Forget the Collingwood Wi-Fi once done

 To remove later: Company Portal > Devices > ... > Remove Device
 Sign out of Company Portal > Uninstall the app
